The Meyer Tool Family Keeps Growing

At Meyer Tool one of our core values is “We are in business forever,” which we live every day by ensuring high quality, tight tolerances and cost-efficient production. Another way we live this value is by developing our third generation of Meyer Tool leadership. To that end, we are proud to announce our newest addition to the team: Business Development Manager, Christian Cunningham. We will look to him to promote and demonstrate Meyer Tool’s core efficiencies to potential customers while also upholding our values that have allowed us to Build the Impossible for the last 50 years. Before receiving an BA in Professional Sales and Marketing from Illinois State University, Christian served the Meyer Tool Family in variety of roles. Starting as a teenager sweeping floors and performing industrial maintenance, Christian exhibited a strong work ethic and a dedication to quality outcomes. Meyer Tool provides limitless learning opportunities to those who want to learn, and Christian flourished here. He gained exposure to a variety of manufacturing roles, stretching his shop skills, eventually working his way up to becoming a well versed, ASME code certified welder and team leader! |

Christian exhibited the same enthusiasm and drive for business development as he did on the manufacturing floor. He worked as a sales intern at Meyer Tool during college and grew his capabilities outside of Meyer Tool as a business professional at Stericycle. His time at Stericycle allowed him to service customers as an inside sales executive for the industry-leading compliance company for healthcare organizations, patients and commercial businesses of every size. Stericycle’s goal to provide quality services in a safe, responsible manner that’s good for people and the planet corresponds well to Meyer Tool’s mission to make a positive difference in the world, this generation and beyond!
So, when Meyer Tool was looking to add strength to our Business Development team, asking Christian to return home was a no-brainer. Already having an extensive knowledge of Meyer Tool’s capabilities, diverse experience on the shop floor, along with developing strong expertise in business development, Christian is a perfect fit for this role. |
When we asked Christian for his thoughts on this new journey of re-joining Meyer Tool, he expressed “Getting to work at Meyer Tool with both my brother (Eric Cunningham) and mother (Eileen Cunningham) has been a unique privilege that not many can say they have had. I have learned a lot growing up here, and I am excited to continue learning and carry on the legacy that my grandfather (founder Frank Meyer) built.” We, at Meyer Tool have had the privilege of watching Christian grow through the years and can say we, too, are excited to see how Christian will tackle this role.

We are excited to have more of the Meyer family join the Meyer Tool family, especially during a time when employees switch jobs more than ever before.
