Meyer Tool Celebrates the End of Another Successful Fiscal Year!
With over 50 successful years in business, it is important to make sure our Meyer Tool Family knows we appreciate all of the hard work, time and dedication they have contributed to building the impossible every day. To that end, every year on September 1st, the Company’s official birthday and the start of another fiscal year, each employee arrives to find a birthday gift bag at their work station, whether it be a desk, or one of Hurco’s latest Mill’s. Each bag contains a few pieces of Meyer Tool swag. In keeping with this year’s theme, made in America, everyone received a baseball shirt, baseball hat and some fun snacks. However, the real treat came at lunch time.
At 12:00pm when the lunch bell sounded, all employees were called to the east end of the building where they were greeted by a food truck that served everyone’s favorite all American Chicago style foods: burgers, dogs, and brats. Sean Garcia, an assembly technician, who recently joined the Meyer Tool Family enjoyed two Chicago style hot dogs with a side of french fries. When asked about our celebration Sean said, “It was an awesome surprise, the food was great, and it gave us a chance to connect with some of the other employees that you might only chat with in passing. My last job never did anything like this.” |
At Meyer Tool, we know we can’t do it alone; we need the help of our expert-employees to continue building the impossible for prestigious customers who change the world with their scientific research and cutting-edge products. Our core value, “our strength is in our people” represents how much we value our team. It’s important to facilitate a fun, friendly and supportive culture as they work through the types of challenges often seen in prototype development. To cultivate that type of environment, hosting food trucks isn’t the only thing we do; every year we host employee picnics, summer barbecues, holiday parties, ice cream day, and bring your kids to work day.
Being a family owned and operated business, we cherish building relationships with our partners and employees. We realize the importance of days like these in bringing our family closer together. During a time when employees switch jobs more than ever before, Meyer Tool is proud to be the type of company where employees can enjoy growing their knowledge and career. Having employees at 10, 20, and 30 years of service isn’t just a goal of ours, but something we have accomplished. We appreciate everyone’s dedication in making Meyer a successful, fun, and friendly place to work for the last 50+ years, and we look forward to another 50! |
