5-axis Machining Videos with a Titanium Vacuum Chamber
In this video, our lead machinist demonstrates 5-axis machining capabilities on a titanium vacuum vessel. The finished UHV weldment was custom machined on the 5-axis machine, welded and post-weld machined to tight tolerances. All production steps were done in-house at Meyer Tool.
In this video, our lead machinist is finishing a long, thin, complex titanium component in a 4-axis horizontal milling machine. The part is fixtured in the fourth axis turntable and supported between centers. The center fixturing has been removed to allow greater access to interior features and rotation along the 4th axis for finishing the complex profile.
