The Various Stages of Machining a Titanium Chamber
In this video, you can see a titanium vacuum chamber go through various stages of roughing, semi finish, and final machining using our Hurco VMX24i. The mobility of a 5-axis mill allows the mill to take cuts on all sides of the chamber without having to stop and adjust setups. Typically at Meyer Tool chambers will go through all four departments; engineering, welding, machining, and assembly, but we were able to use our 5-axis mill and avoid welding completely.
