Meyer Tool Hosts International Visitors

Meyer Tool & Mfg, Inc hosted distinguished visitors at their facility on February 25, 2004. International visitors included Akira Yamamoto and Norihito Ohuchi of KEK in Japan, Ranko Ostojic of CERN in Switzerland, as well as Joseph Rasson of LBNL, and Jim Strait and Tom Peterson of Fermilab.
The visit included a shop tour and inspection of the eight Cryogenic Distribution Boxes in process at Meyer Tool. The Distribution Boxes were designed by LBNL and Fermilab for the Large Hadron Collider project at CERN. Meyer Tool is responsible for the manufacture and testing of the Distribution Boxes. Ranko Ostojic (CERN) and Joseph Rasson (LBNL) inspect top plate of LBNL Distribution Box Assembly Meyer Tool has manufactured a variety of key cryogenic, pressure and vacuum technology related equipment for major basic science programs for over 35 years. A partial listing of programs includes: CEBAF, FermiLab, SSCL, APS at ANL, Cornell CHESS, Canadian Light Source, SSRC in Taiwan, the National Ignition Facility at LLNL and the Spallation Neutron Source. |
