Cryogenic Bayonets are used as a low heat leak solution for transferring cryogens between equipment. Bayonets are fabricated in mates for male and female. The photo shows multiple male halves of a pair.
As the year starts and we’re experiencing outside temperatures of 10 F (260 K), it’s good to know some things are much colder, like the cryogenic temperature region which is commonly defined as below -238 F (-150 C or 123 K). The equipment we build is operated from 77K to below 4K. These extreme temperatures require equally extreme engineering and fabrication knowledge, like that gained in our 50+ years of design and manufacturing experience! This allows Meyer Tool to successfully employ our unique Reduce Project Risk process for our customers, where we address risks before they become problems to deliver exceptional results!
