What is the Open Position?

Experienced Aluminum Welder / Fabricator

Requirements:
  • Ability to perform fit-up, TIG and MIG welding of aluminum, stainless steel and other metals without supervision or oversight.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use blueprints and work instructions, develop a plan, set up and layout weld work, in addition to creating and  building fixturing as needed.
  • Strong competencies with plasma arc welding of large shells, tube bending, and torch brazing.
  • Competent independent operation of forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torches and other hand held tools as needed. 
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing processes with input from subordinates, engineering and others. 
  • Ability to inspect welds, identify defects or issues, and make corrections
Most Important Requirement:
  • Strong fabrication skills in addition to welding capabilities.  Meyer Tool is not your run of the mill job shop.  We tackle some of the coolest most challenging custom fabrication projects in the world.  We need a competent independent expert welder to join our staff that is capable of figuring fabrication plans out on the fly and identifying best practices.  Every thing that runs through our shop is unique.  If you love welding and are looking for a chance to put your welding skills to the test and become the best then this position is for you.
