Michael Svehla joins the Meyer Tool Team
March 31, 2015

Meyer Tool & Mfg., Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Michael Svehla in the position of Project Manager/Engineer to our Engineering Team. Michael has over 19 years progressive experience in the design of capital equipment, utilizing pressure and vacuum in the process, in mechanical design and in project management. Michael holds a B.S. of Mechanical Engineer from the University of Illinois, Urbana, Illinois. Svehla works with criteria that include dimensional tolerances to .0001”, vacuum levels to 1x10-10 torr, temperatures from 4K to 3000 degrees Fahrenheit, pressures to 1000 PSIG, and stringent quality assurance requirements.
Before joining Meyer Tool, Mr. Svehla worked on pressure vessel designs to the ASME Section VIII Division 1 Code. Michael was responsible for a wide array of projects involving equipment design and project management including: ethylene oxide sterilizers, fumigators, transformer oil purifiers and many custom vacuum chamber applications. In addition to pressure vessel work, Michael worked on the ancillary equipment for the vessels, including electrical controls, electrical power systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
As part of his orientation, Michael will learn how the Meyer Tool Reduce Project Risk Process is applied to our daily tasks. Meyer Tool’s four step process of Discover, Design, Develop, and Deliver supports our commitment to providing our customers the best overall value, potentially not lowest first cost, but ultimately lowest final cost. As Meyer Tool enters its 46th year, the additional resources and perspectives that Michael brings to Meyer Tool strengthens our ability to achieve our mission of “Manufacturing for a positive impact on the world, this generation and beyond.”
Meyer Tool has earned the reputation of being able to manufacture equipment that others have deemed impossible to manufacture. Meyer Tool’s depth of knowledge and experience enhances our ability to continue providing the highest quality equipment for the lowest total cost of ownership. A “plug and play” provider of cryogenic, pressure and vacuum technologies, Meyer Tool strives to benefit our customer via Reduced Project Risk from prototype development through the pre-production and production phase. The expansion of our highly skilled team to include Michael bolsters Meyer Tool’s commitment to our long-term mission: customer success and satisfaction.
