Meyer Tool Places Top 16 in Maker's Madness: Coolest Thing Made in Illinois Contest
This March, Meyer Tool submitted an Illinois-made vacuum chamber that is planned to hold IBM's next generation fault-tolerant quantum computers, helping to bring the transformative potential of quantum computing to reality to the Illinois Manufacturer Association (IMA) Maker’s Madness: Coolest Thing Made In Illinois contest. Maker’s Madness is a March Madness style tournament that recognizes unique manufacturers in the state of Illinois. Out of over 150 nominated businesses, we had the honor of finishing in the Sweet 16. As such, we were invited to attend the finalist luncheon at the Governor’s Mansion in Springfield, Illinois., where our team got to sit with Gov. Pritzker and discuss Illinois's increased focus and investment in quantum computing.
We would like to thank IMA, Maker’s Madness, and Governor Pritzker for this amazing opportunity to showcase one of the amazing components we fabricate here at Meyer Tool. We look forward to competing next year and hopefully bringing home the title of “Coolest Thing Made in Illinois!”
