Estimator

We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator with a strong understanding of advanced manufacturing processes to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in developing accurate, competitive, and timely quotes for our unique fabrication projects. You’ll work closely with engineering, production, and sales teams to support both existing customers and outreach to new OEM opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to develop accurate cost estimates
  • Collaborate with the design and manufacturing teams to identify optimal fabrication approaches
  • Generate detailed cost breakdowns for machining, welding, assembly, testing, and materials
  • Support quote development for custom one-off components and small batch production
  • Interface with customers to clarify requirements and present technical/commercial proposals
  • Contribute to strategic growth by assisting in pursuit of new OEM and R&D opportunities
  • Maintain and refine estimating tools, cost databases, and quoting templates

Qualifications:
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machining, welding, mechanical assembly, and quality/testing processes
  • Familiarity with vacuum, cryogenic, or pressure systems is highly desirable
  • Strong technical reading skills, including interpreting complex engineering drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Engineering or technical background preferred (degree or equivalent experience)
