Ed Bonnema Celebrates 35 Years at Meyer Tool & Manufacturing
On May 25th, Meyer Tool celebrated another of our long-term employee milestones: Vice President of Engineering, Ed Bonnema, celebrated 35 years of employment with the company.
Ed holds Bachelor and Master Degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a M.M. Degree in Business Administration from Northwestern University, Kellogg Graduate School. Bonnema is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois and a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. |
As VP, Ed has played a significant role in developing MTM’s capabilities as well as our 3rd generation of MTM leadership. Using his experience from countless prestigious projects, such as: Fermilab & Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory’s Distribution Boxes for the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN, a wide variety of UHV and precision motion stages for Argonne National Laboratory’s Advanced Photon Source, and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s National Ignition Facility, the Superconducting Super Collider in Texas, Ed has been able to pass down design and fabrication techniques that could only be acquired through working in the industry. From quoting to fabrication, Ed has been our go to expert that has ensured Meyer Tool can build the Impossible. |
During a time when employees switch jobs more than ever before, Meyer Tool is proud to be the type of company where employees can enjoy growing their career for 35 or more years. That we have additional employees following at 25, 20, and 10 years of service is a massive accomplishment. We truly are a learning organization where employees can be challenged for a lifetime solving various complex fabrication issues, enjoying the sense of fulfillment that accompanies seeing these designs come to life. Our strength is in our people, and Ed is a prime example. Meyer Tool owes a great deal of thanks to Ed for his role in building the impossible!
