CUSTOM ASME CODE PRESSURE VESSELS

Pressure vessel failures cause much more damage than halting production — they create immediate safety hazards for your workforce and trigger regulatory investigations that can sideline operations for weeks. ASME code compliance helps address these challenges by ensuring your vessel meets verified design and fabrication standards from the outset. Meyer Tool & Mfg. fabricates vessels that meet Section VIII, Division 1 requirements, delivering the reliability your operation demands.

We design and build custom ASME pressure vessels in stainless steel, aluminum, carbon steel, copper and specialty alloys. From compact 5-gallon laboratory vessels to large industrial systems, we handle engineering, fabrication, testing and ASME code compliance in-house. Our capabilities eliminate the coordination issues that arise when these processes are spread out across multiple vendors.
Begin building your custom ASME vessel today!

ASME U-Stamp and R-Stamp Certified Pressure Vessels

Meyer Tool & Mfg. maintains ASME U-Stamp certification for pressure vessel design and fabrication. We also hold National Board R-Stamp certification for pressure vessel repair and refurbishment, helping extend the service life of your equipment.

Our welding staff meets ASME Section IX qualifications, ensuring every weld procedure and welder performance is verified to code standards. We maintain rigorous quality controls throughout fabrication, with each weld undergoing inspection and testing to verify code compliance before your vessel ships.

You can choose ASME stamping or opt for non-code vessels when your application doesn't require it. Our professionals can guide you through the decision based on your operating pressure, jurisdiction requirements and end-use environment.

ASME stamping provides benefits like:
  • Third-party inspection: Independent verification of design calculations, materials and fabrication quality.
  • Regulatory compliance: Satisfies insurance requirements and jurisdictional regulations.
  • Traceability: Complete material certifications and weld procedure documentation.

Material Selection

Choosing the right materials determines vessel performance, fabrication costs and long-term reliability. We select the optimal combination of strength, corrosion resistance, weight and other properties for your specific application. We consider material performance across the entire fabrication process, from overall durability and welding complexity to post-weld heat treatment requirements and inspection accessibility.

Each material type offers specific advantages:
  • Stainless steel: Superior corrosion resistance and two to three times the strength of aluminum. Ideal for high-pressure applications and corrosive environments.
  • Aluminum: Lower material cost and easier machining. Better choice for weight-sensitive applications and moderate pressures.
  • Carbon steel: Cost-effective for large vessels and high-pressure industrial service where corrosion isn't a primary concern.
  • Copper and specialty alloys: Required for specific thermal properties, extreme temperatures or unique chemical compatibility.

ASME Pressure Vessel Manufacturing Capabilities

Meyer Tool builds pressure vessels that other shops won't quote because of complexity, material challenges or tight tolerances. We handle both prototype development and production quantities, applying the same engineering and quality standards to single custom vessels as we do to production runs.

Our engineering, CNC machining, ASME code welding, hydrostatic testing, and other integrated capabilities enable us to tackle demanding projects that require specialized fabrication expertise. Post-weld machining ensures dimensional accuracy even after welding distortion, and our comprehensive testing program verifies vessel integrity prior to shipment.
