Associate Project Engineer

Don’t spend your first engineering job designing the same part every day.

At Meyer Tool & Manufacturing, you'll help build components that support particle accelerators, quantum research, cryogenic systems, space exploration, national laboratories, and next-generation technology.

Every project is different.

Every day you'll work alongside experienced engineers, machinists, welders and fabricators turning complex ideas into real-world solutions.

If you're someone who enjoys solving problems, learning quickly, and seeing your designs become reality, we'd like to meet you.

As an Associate Project Engineer, you'll work directly with our senior engineering team while developing the skills needed to eventually lead customer projects from quote through shipment.

You'll learn by doing.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Create 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor
  • Develop Bills of Material (BOMs) and manufacturing documentation
  • Assist Project Engineers with customer projects from quotation through production
  • Help create standardized engineering procedures and department SOPs
  • Support engineering change documentation and project records
  • Collaborate daily with machinists, welders, inspectors and assembly technicians
  • Learn our ERP system and engineering workflow
  • Participate in solving manufacturing and fabrication challenges
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement

As your experience grows, you'll gradually take ownership of larger projects, interact directly with customers, and ultimately become the lead engineer responsible for managing projects from concept through delivery.

Grow Your Career
This position is designed as a career path. You'll receive mentoring and progressively greater responsibility, preparing you to become a Project Engineer responsible for leading customer projects independently.  Within months, you'll be creating designs that our machinists and welders will build. And you'll watch those components

Benefits
  • Competitive salary
  • Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance
  • 401(k) with Company Match
  • Paid Time Off
  • Paid Holidays
  • Tuition Reimbursement
  • On-the-job mentoring

  • Opportunity to make an impact from Day One
If you're ready to build more than just parts—to help build technologies that change the world—we'd love to hear from you.
What We’re Looking For:
Required:
  • BS Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or similar engineering discipline
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and curiosity
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Desire to learn manufacturing processes
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude
Preferred:
  • Autodesk Inventor experience
  • 3D CAD modeling experience
  • Internship or co-op in manufacturing
  • Familiarity with machining, welding, fabrication or GD&T
No cryogenic or pressure vessel experience?
No problem.
We'll teach you.

This position is a great career opportunity!
  • Paid on-the-job training
  • Premium wage potential
  • Full Medical, Dental, Vision, more coverage available

You'll learn from experienced engineers with decades of knowledge while working on projects supporting:
  • National Laboratories, University Research & Dept of Energy
  • Space and Aerospace Programs
  • Quantum Technologies
